vocalfree tracks for your studying corner

This weekend, I've been to five places total. I had a lot of gaming sessions with cousins, attend a birthday party (and it didn't go out quite well as I expected it to be), went shopping with Mom, and for the most fun event: eat in an eat-all-you-can fashion. But quite frankly, I could have devoured documents and pages of a few textbooks and immerse myself with my notes I could barely understand. When I read, or study while mobile, there’s always an earphone input to help shut out the in-backseat clatter to ease me into the flow of learning. Therefore, my playlists for multitasking (or multi-"slacking") tend to not be built on punchy or distracting elements. However, as I have mentioned once or twice, one of my favorite things to do is listen to songs; I mean really listen to it, as my mind races around and through all of the different elements of the music. So here are a few songs that go well with a book, notes, or a pen, or just a block of time and silence. They’re simple and beautiful, but ornately woven; there’s a lot to hear in these simple pieces. no vocals or lyrics, but tons of story and emotion.

“Untitled #3” & “Untitled #4” -Sigur Ròs
“Radio Ballet” -Eluvium
“Theme from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” -Jon Brion [amazing movie, and of course a masterful score]
 “Part II, C” -Keith Jarrett
