fluency

There are 5 different love languages (according to Gary Chapman): Words Of Affirmation, Physical Touch, Gifts, Acts of Service, and Quality Time. Based on my iTunes library, there’s one love language that encapsulates several of these at once. I'm not really the type of person who knows much about love, but I know that every friendship or relationship I’ve cared about was built, at one point or another, with a good playlist, or a song so to speak. Under ‘Playlists’, I saw a few names. And each of them brought their own flashbacks that pull different heartstrings. Most of them I've made for myself and for people, either individually or to be played at school, on roadtrips, during activities, or for the blog readers. A few were something recommended, and the best breed of recommendations I could ever receive. I don’t care much for things. Music is my kind of jewelry. I put it on and walk about life feeling so cool. Songs mean to me like dogs, and aren’t dogs man’s best friends? When someone makes you a good playlist, it’s like they know you well enough to know, not just what you like, but what you would like, even though you haven’t heard it yet.

So yesterday, I received a playlist from someone I’ve just met and almost immediately I considered her one of the coolest people alive. These songs are so hip, and diverse, not to mention well-compiled. I’m gonna call this playlist "The Foreshadowing"; because it gave me the feeling this is gonna go well.
