verses, pt. 2

In the beginning
I staggered and expressed dismay
by flinging to stars
and into them, towards them
a mayhem, a coherent response
to a lack of representation.
As the usual questions recycled
and fueled my rage.
Finally what has remained
above and beyond my ruined galaxy
was I, alone in a damned
birdcage, rustling against a backdrop
at which a void rests.

No problem where there is one
as there are a million more
and I set a goal of conquering all
if not merely as much as God wills.
Never did I come across the sorrows,
nor the cause of my dismay:
the lords of my universe,
forgetful of the far-flung corners
and cosmically warring
thus disturbing the peace.

verses, pt. 1

In the beginning
The universe is so large,
I shall never make it back
to where I started
and yet
in countless ways it's all the same.
Unveiling for my own peace of mind
all reasons for my captivity undue
an imprisonment, an electric birdcage
is an unfortunate preoccupation
a condition relegated to one
who is alone forever
on a deep recess of space,
sojourning my perception
when in an electric birdcage oneself
ventures,
introspection is inevitable.

50

Solitude is bliss, a never-ending cliche
says don't trust love in any way
have we thrown our "nothing lasts forever" cares away?
he knows that his was there to stay.

The man has put his heart on display
as he hopelessly thinks that maybe someday
his little miss sunshine would soon decide
to choose his heart for her to reside.

Recalling his past like it was yesterday
when all his life has gone astray
then it came, the time they collide
the time was his to break the tide.

He took his time to hit his stride
expelled himself of all his pride
in one fell swoop, he let it slide
just to get his lips tongue-tied.

Silence fills the empty hallway
as he walked slow in hobbled sway
it felt like a moment of disarray
so many simple words he failed to say.

placebo

a sweet inspiration. would it be fine if it lives inside my mind?

not that i'm talking about imagination; as a matter of fact i have no shortage of that. i don't deal with writing stories just for the sake of it, and i don't mean embellishing truth neither. it's just that i am certain that it's all in my mind. but we can fool ourselves into buying our own homegrown stories, right?

that's where placebos come in. like the button you press and gives the 'go' sign to walk the crosswalk, that's how they work. they make us feel communicative, controlled.

we can trick our bodies into believing what we tell our minds. it works with our hearts too. and that's what we do. the world is our spectacle. and we, the actors, shall feel like we're feeling while we're in it.

but at what point, does this line between our hearts and minds blur?

i don't know. maybe sometimes we just feel with our minds.

i'll keep waiting for that darned day that i shall feel like i'm finally feeling; and it will read like a story, sound like a perfect melody, and feel like looking towards the calm sea as it brightly reflects the beautiful gleam of moonlight.
