summer. days full of friends, friends full of time, and time full of moments and opportunities to make it last. bright sunshine; brighter eyes. breezy days; breezier clothes. loud music; louder voices.
and now it's almost the end of this year's summer, and you are going to be stuck in this homestretch doing everything an unusual teenage insomniac would do: stay up late everyday, put holes into your pants, stay up all day in front of the TV, or the computer. but when your desire for adventure comes your way, you would rather pull your hair back and get sunshine on your skin, while perking up songs that fit the season.
so what'd you got as your summer 2011 soundtrack? now what do I have here...
The Summer Set clearly knows how to jam a cool summer set, and there's no exception on their new track "Someone Like You".
if you wanna dance, you can give "Who's Laughing Now?" by Jessie J a push of the play button. When it seems anyone else would just make noises with their face, Jessie's is poking victorious, catchy fun. Dibs on this.
and if you're looking for a cavity-inducing track for your gnarly musical sweet tooth, try "New in Town" by Little Boots.
and the last out of everything I could think of, "Changing" by The Airborne Toxic Event. it has this elusive quality, and a hip, energetic guitar riff to jam to.
I got over with summer almost immediately, and I've just made a leap into some gaming fun. Surprisingly, I have stopped taking notice to new songs, and settled to some 8bit-laden, gaming hype-amplifying, cool chiptune songs. swell stuff.
